Overview
EditJ provides browser-based PDF tools. We designed the service so that we collect as little personal data as possible to run it.
This policy applies to the EditJ website and tools. By using EditJ you agree to the practices described here.
Your files
Files you upload are processed only to perform the task you requested — compressing, converting, signing, and so on.
Uploaded files and their results are encrypted in transit and at rest, and are permanently deleted from our servers within two hours. We never open, read, sell, or use your documents to train models.
Data we collect
To run and improve the service we collect a small amount of data:
- Account details you provide (name, email) if you create an account.
- Basic usage analytics such as which tools are used and error reports.
- Standard server logs (IP address, browser type) kept for security and abuse prevention.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your personal data to anyone.
- We don’t use your file contents for advertising or model training.
- We don’t share data with third parties except the processors needed to run the service.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can exercise these rights from your account settings or by contacting us.
We respond to all verified requests within 30 days.
